Frequently Asked Questions

Are cats allowed on campgrounds? I can’t find any information on the website of the campground where I want to stay; it just talks about dogs.
Most campgrounds where dogs are allowed also accept cats. Make sure you check directly with the campground, though, and that you are familiar with its rules concerning animals, before arriving with your pet.
I have dogs of different sizes and races. Can a campground refuse me access or make me pay a supplement or additional fees?

Campgrounds are free to determine their own policies where animals are concerned. A campground manager may choose to accept only small dogs, to set a maximum number of dogs per camper, or to charge fees for each animal. Pet owners should always ask campgrounds about their policy or rules concerning animals before they arrive.
