ATV users, take care!

ATV users, take care!

Keeping your all-terrain vehicle clean and well running and equipped with a fire extinguisher can avoid lots of headaches. A badly maintained or dirty ATV could actually start a forest fire. Some mechanical parts of the ATV could get very hot, and cause the dead leaves and twigs sticking to the vehicle on your off-trail adventures to burst into flame.

To avoid such situations, the Quebec forest-fire prevention agency (SOPFEU) recommends that you switch off your ATV whenever you stop, and clean it after every outing in the woods.
