When you make a campfire, it’s important to have a source of water nearby. A water bag is a useful, small and easy to carry tool that replaces the traditional pail. Keep one handy so that you can douse your fire effectively and prevent any unfortunate incidents.
When making your campfire, choose an open space on the sand, fill your water bag and place it near the fire. Always keep an eye on your fire – a gust of wind can cause it to blaze out of control. Once you have finished, pour the water bag on the fire and make sure it is completely out before you leave. If the ashes aren’t cold to the touch, you need to douse it once again.
You can get a water bag at many outdoor stores.
Do you know the rules for a safe campfire?
