Laval (14)
Regional camping and RVing association
The face of modern-day Laval has been shaped both by its physical features and its history. At first, there were a number of parishes and tiny villages: Saint-François-de-Sales, Sainte-Rose-de-Lima, Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Saint-Martin and Sainte-Dorothée. In 1965, they merged their economies and services to form the city of Laval.
The city has much to offer visitors, from the Rivière-des-Mille-Îles park, where you can take an ecological excursion in a pontoon boat or head out in a canoe, kayak, rowboat or pedal boat, cruises through the islands (the Mille-Îles River is dotted with lovely islands), the Centre de la Nature (an immense natural oasis spread over more than 4 km), the Flower route (where visitors can chat with various growers), and the Vieux Saint-François, Laval's first artisanal cheese maker.
The Laval ARCC region corresponds to the boundaries of the City of Laval (the fourth-largest city in Quebec). As such, it is located north of Montreal, between the Des Prairies and Mille-Îles rivers. The Association was founded on October 20, 1980, and now has over 1,400 member families.
