Located at the junction of the Saint Maurice and the Saint Lawrence, Mauricie is divided into two zones, Mauricie and Upper-Mauricie. The region's major towns are: Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, La Tuque, Saint-Tite and Louiseville. Mauricie's main activities and attractions are winter sports, parks and wildlife reserves, local culture and heritage and snowbiking. The region is also host to several cultural events such as: the La Tuque 12-hour Enduro (Quad), the Beach Festival, the Trois-Rivières Agricultural Show and the International DansEncore Festival.
